Ali has been invited to be a speaker at the second annual Food Tank Summit on April 20th. From their website:
The focus of the Food Tank Summits are to highlight creative and innovative ways to cultivate a better food system. This year, Food Tank is quadrupling the number of summits. In 2015, Food Tank hosted the 1st annual summit in partnership with The George Washington University. The event sold out within minutes, bringing together 400+ in person attendees and more than 15,500 livestream viewers. We are thrilled to expand this platform to Sacramento, Chicago, and Sao Paulo, Brazil this year, in addition to Washington, D.C. again.
Food Tank Summits bring together policymakers, academics, youth, members of the funding and donor community, and advocates to inject new energy into the international dialogue around alleviating hunger and obesity, preventing food waste, recognizing the role of women and youth in the food system, and ensuring access to safe, affordable, and nutritious food for all.
The Summit will be two inspiring days, the first will be filled with interactive discussion, including a variety of speakers from around the world. The first day of events will include dynamic panel discussion and exciting keynote speakers. The second day will be experiential, creating opportunities for networking, advocacy, touring urban farms, workshops, seasonal, local food, and lots of fun.
