One of the best reads I've had this year is the novel 'Delicious Foods' by James Hannaham. Similar to Yaa Gyasi's remarkable debut novel, 'Homegoing' in that both authors expose deep and painful societal truths told through story in their unique voices.

Hannaham's setting - a farm somewhere south – depicts conditions that afflict farm workers today in the US; addiction, indentured servitude, health and safety denied. (Sept. 24th, 2016)
